stresstest.pro ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our platform.
1. Data Collection & Minimization
We only collect the absolute minimum data required to provide you with portfolio analytics.
• Identity Data: Email address and authentication tokens via Firebase Auth.
• Financial Inputs: Ticker symbols, allocation weights, and simulation parameters. We do NOT ask for or store Social Security Numbers, banking credentials, or total net worth.
• Analytics & Usage: IP address, browser type, and basic interaction logs to maintain security and improve performance.
2. How We Use Your Data
• Service Delivery: To store your portfolio configurations across devices and run automated Watchdog alerts.
• AI Features: We send anonymized mathematical metrics to AI APIs (like Google Gemini) to generate text summaries. No Personally Identifiable Information (PII) is included, and your data is explicitly NOT used to train public AI models.
• Payments: All subscription billing and payment processing is handled securely by Stripe. We never see or store your raw credit card data.
3. Third-Party Subprocessors
We partner with enterprise-grade infrastructure providers and only share what is strictly necessary:
• Google Cloud & Firebase: Core hosting, authentication, and database infrastructure.
• EODHD: Ticker symbols to retrieve historical market data.
• SendGrid / Postmark: Email addresses for password resets and portfolio alerts.
• Stripe: Payment processing and subscription management.
4. Data Retention
We retain personal data only as long as necessary to provide the Service:
• Account data (email, user ID): Retained until you delete your account.
• Portfolio data: Retained until you delete the portfolio or your account.
• Usage/log data: Retained for up to 90 days for security and debugging purposes.
• Payment records: Retained for 7 years to comply with financial regulations.
Upon account deletion, all personal data is purged from production systems within 30 days.
5. Cookies
StressTest.pro uses the following cookies:
• Strictly necessary cookies: Session tokens required for authentication (Firebase Auth). Cannot be disabled.
• Analytics cookies: Anonymous usage data via Google Analytics (GA4). Can be declined via our cookie consent banner.
• Functional cookies: User preferences (theme, display settings). Stored locally in your browser.

6. Your Rights & Control
• Access & Edit: You can view and modify all stored portfolio data directly in the dashboard at any time.
• Deletion: Deleting your account will immediately and permanently purge all your saved portfolios, alerts, and personal identifiers from our production databases.
• No Data Selling: We operate a software subscription business. We do not sell your personal data, nor do we run ad networks.
• GDPR/CCPA: EU and California residents may submit formal data access or deletion requests to privacy@stresstest.pro.
• India (DPDP Act): Indian residents may nominate a representative to exercise their rights in the event of death or incapacity.
7. Security Practices
All data is encrypted in transit using modern TLS 1.3 standards and encrypted at rest with AES-256. While no system is perfectly secure, we rely on the same infrastructure primitives trusted by major financial institutions.
